Your Manhattan Beach Chiropractor

WELCOME and thank you for looking into Schmolder Chiropractic.  It is not a coincidence you found me.  Are you experiencing a health problem? Have you done the traditional approach, medications and physical therapy and/or surgery, and continue to experience the problem? Has someone referred you, maybe your medical doctor who cares about you and sincerely feels you can be helped with chiropractic care?  Have you decided you are sick and tired of being sick and tired?  If so, I hope you will soon realize that you are in the right place. Call me Dr. Don and it is not by chance that I am a chiropractor. Hopefully after reading this and reviewing my website you will realize that you and I will make a great team to help you. I count it an honor for you to choose me to be on your team as your chiropractor.  Before becoming a doctor of chiropractic at the age of 24 I was first a patient at the age of 10.  Active in self-defense class I had a bad fall and hurt my back so much I was barely able to move.  My dad avoided back surgery to remove a disc pinching his nerve because of chiropractic care so he had the insight to take me to his chiropractor first. I experienced immediate help and it was then that I knew what I wanted to do.  I use chiropractic care not only to relieve my pains but to help keep my body balanced and strong.. I have had amazing benefits from maintaining my spine regularly and consistently.  Chiropractic care helps me do what I love, caring for people like your self. You could benefit too and I would count it an honor to be the one to help you. I encourage you to see the many ways Schmolder Chiropractic can benefit you now with your immediate concern and throughout your life for better health and well-being.  We are all given 24 hours a day and it is what we do with our time in the present that can deposit into our life and health now and the future.  I look forward to meeting with you and seeing how I can serve you best.  Feel free to contact me should you have any questions not answered here. Better yet make an appointment to meet and see if I can be of help.  I look forward to keeping your spinal bones from...

How I work with you

Though you are coming in with a condition that is unique, what you have in common with everyone that comes in is that you have a spine.  The spinal column, made up of 24 individual bones stacked on top of one another is meant to move while protecting the nerves that come from between the bones.  It is the brain sending messages through the nerves that control the body functions. If a nerve becomes choked or blocked from a bone out of alignment and putting pressure on the nerve, this limits the movement of the spine, causes postural imbalance of the body, and organ function can be changed that those nerves normally feed.  Before I work with you I first have to be very confident I can help you. This is determined by talking to you and finding out your problem.  Next is to find out where in your spine the problem is coming from.  We do this by taking a look at your posture, are spinal movements restricted or make sounds when you bend, I feel if there are muscle spasms and what your body is trying to do to the bones those muscles are attached to, is there heat or swelling coming from your spine, and I palpate each individual bone to verify what bones are out of alignment. This is called an assessment or examination and is done fully clothed.   Once I am confident that I can help you and I have located the problem area, next I want to know the age of your spine.  This is a calculation based on the findings from your assessment and helps me to help you by pin pointing how easy or difficult it may be to make the correction.  Other factors that help me determine if a correction will be easy or difficult are from your history and your test adjustment.  When I can put all this together then I can tell you how I can or I can’t help you. It is at that time I will be able to tell you in detail how long, how frequent and how much your investment in care will be. You will know all this before we begin any plan of action and you will be given all the options to make a choice. I am here to serve you and to be of help to...

Make Your Appointment

I know how important time is and I want you to know I value you and your time.  There are a few things I want to share with you before you make an appointment. I have gone to great effort to make things simple.  Unfortunately, the paper work that used to be 1 page is now 3 more pages because of ‘New’ healthcare laws.  Still I have simplified it so you can print the paperwork ahead of time and have it filled out so when you come in I am ready to help you.  For your convenience you can also book your appointment online, make a payment securely online and contact me for any reason. If you are new to the office, an appointment is needed.  I will plan to share an hour with you though it rarely takes that long.  Where comfortable clothing.  Though not necessary, if you have tests or reports such as: X-ray’s, MRI’s, lab work, feel free to bring with you.  If you take medications bring that list as well.  In other words come with anything you feel will be helpful for me to help you. Once I establish I can help you then you no longer need to make appointments.  I have open adjustment hours; this is where I focus on the care of each person that comes in. This mean you can come in at any time during those open hours and get your care and adjustment.  In general an adjustment takes approximately 10 minutes.  It is a first come first serve basis.  Most people come in and don’t wait at all.  For the most part it runs very smoothly and most people find it very efficient and like the freedom to come in when...
